Bismarck Hosts Babe Ruth Midwest Plains Regional Tournament

 

There will be eight teams playing for the 16-18-Year-Old Babe Ruth Midwest Plains Regional Baseball Tournament championship in Bismarck July 19-23 Tournament play begins Friday, July 20 at 10 am at the Bismarck Municipal Ballpark, 303 W. Front Ave. Opening Ceremonies will be held at 5:30 pm, prior to the evening games. The winner of this regional tournament goes on to the Babe Ruth World Series in Jamestown, NY, August 4-11.

There are eight teams in the tournament; two from Missouri, one each from Colorado, Iowa, Minnesota and Kansas. North Dakota is represented by the Willison Oilers, along with the host city Babe Ruth team, the Bismarck Senators. The Bismarck Senators’ first game is 6:00 pm on Friday, July 20. They will play the Charleston, MO, Fighting Squirrels team. Games continue Saturday, Sunday and Monday. The championship game is scheduled for Monday at 3 pm.

All games will be held at the Bismarck Municipal Ballpark, home of the Dakota Community Bank and Trust Field. Game tickets can be purchased at the admissions gate. Prices for adults are $10 per day or $25 for a tournament pass. Admission prices for students (ages 12-17) are $6 daily or $15 for a tournament pass. Youth (ages 11 and under) ticket prices are $4 daily or $10 for a tournament pass. Kids two and under get in free.  A family tournament pass is $75.

Tournament Volunteers Needed

Bismarck Parks and Recreation District is in need of interested and enthusiastic volunteers for the 2018 16-18 Year Old Midwest Plains Regional Baseball Tournament for July 20-23 at the Bismarck Municipal Ballpark. Help us providing an amazing experience to incoming teams and fans! We are looking for ticket takers, souvenir sellers, scoreboard operators and ball shaggers. Volunteers will receive free tournament passes. Please contact Jeremy at 222-6641.
