February Fun with Flurry Fest

February brings Flurry Fest, a full month of winter fun. From active outdoor adventures to laid-back seasonal experiences, the month is filled with events designed to help you embrace the chill. Activities all month long offer something for everyone. Nearly everything is free or low cost so everyone can make some great winter memories.

Flurry Fest Photo Contest: February 1-28, 2026

Photo Contest Rules

  • Who Can Enter: All ages and skill levels can submit photos. 

  • What to Submit: Send as many photos as you want, but they must be taken at Bismarck Parks and Recreation District’s parks, trails, or facilities.

  • Photo Format: You can use a smartphone or a camera to take your photos. Photos with 300 dpi are best, but not required.

  • How to Enter: Submit your photos via this form or email your photos with the required information to bisparks@bisparks.org.

  • Photo Rights: When you send in your photos, you give BPRD permission to use them in any marketing materials forever. You also confirm that you own the copyright for the photos.

  • Judging: Three winning photos will be chosen to receive prize packages. The judges’ choices are final.

2026 Photo Prizes

Prize packages include:

  • Three fitness center coupon books
  • Two buckets of balls for Fore Seasons Center
  • Four outdoor pool passes, including the Hillside waterslide
  • $25 gift certificate to BPRD, good for any program or facility excluding golf

Flurry Fest Treasure Hunt: February 16-20, 2026

Treasure Hunt Rules

  • A Treasure Hunt clue will be posted on our homepage under Latest News each day for five days starting Monday, February 16, 2026, at 8:15am Central Time. The clue will also be posted on our Facebook page and available by calling the Treasure Hunt Hotline at 701-222-6479. 
  • A new clue will be shared for five days or until the treasure is found. If the Treasure is not found by 4:00pm Friday, February 20, 2026, BPRD reserves the right to terminate the hunt and the treasure will not be awarded.
  • If the treasure is found before Friday, February 20, we will share the news on this website, Facebook, and phone hotline.
  • The treasure consists of a 6-inch by 6-inch acrylic plaque with the inscription “Flurry Fest Treasure Hunt” on it. 
  • The treasure is hidden above ground on public land. Please SEARCH but DON’T DESTROY. No digging below ground or destruction of property is necessary to find the treasure. BPRD reserves the right to discontinue the hunt at any time if public property is destroyed.
  • All contestants must be age 18 to participate in this contest.
  • The finder of the treasure must claim the prize by presenting the treasure at the BPRD office, 400 E. Front Ave., between 7:30am-5:00pm  Monday through Friday.
  • Treasure Hunt winners who have won within the last three years are not eligible to win. This includes members of their immediate and extended families – nieces, in-laws, cousins, etc. BPRD employees and their immediate families are not eligible to participate.
  • At the conclusion of the Treasure Hunt, BPRD will announce online the location of the found treasure and the winner’s name. BPRD reserves the right to use the winner’s name and a photo in promotional materials. BPRD reserves the right to keep the explanation of the clues a Flurry Fest mystery.
  • No purchase necessary to win. All contest rules and decisions are final.

2026 Treasure Prize

  • One 2026 Green Fee Package, which includes 12 coupons good for 18 holes of golf at Tom O’Leary Golf Course
  • One coupon booklet for 12 large buckets of golf balls at Fore Seasons Center
  • One coupon booklet with 12 outdoor pool passes, including Hillside Aquatic Complex waterslide
  • One six-month adult membership for BSC Aquatic & Wellness Center and Capital Racquet & Fitness Center
  • $25 gift certificate to BPRD, good for any program or facility
