Flag Football – Youth

Youth Coed Flag Football Grades 3-6 – Fall

Flag football is a recreational program that teaches the fundamentals in a team setting. This non-contact league emphasizes equal participation, sportsmanship, and getting experience at all positions. Participants will learn through practices and games.

Dates, Times, and Location

August 17-September 26, 2026, at Sam McQuade Sr. Softball Complex, 1100 N. Washington St. (no practice September 7)

• Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays
• Grades 3-4: 5:30-6:30pm
• Grades 5-6: 6:30-7:30pm

Teams and Schedules

• Rosters – available at the end of the first week at the complex
• Schedules – game schedules will be posted August 27 with September 1 the first night of games.

Need to Know

• Participants are required to purchase and wear a mouthguard. All other gear, such as footballs, belts, flags, and jerseys, are provided.
• Dress comfortably in shorts or sweats. No metal cleats allowed.
• Jewelry is not allowed, nor is taping of earrings. Exceptions are medical bracelets or medical necklaces taped to the chest inside of shirts.
• The first week is large group practices, and then teams are organized by school.
• Team practices begin the week of August 24. Mondays are practices with games on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Registration and Fees

• $60 per player – if received by August 7
• $70 per player – if received August 8 or later
• Participants must register for the elementary school they attend (Bismarck Public Schools or Bismarck private schools). 6th graders should register for their 2025-2026 elementary school.
