Youth Coed Baseball Ages 5-12 – Summer

Coed youth baseball is a recreational program that teaches youth the fundamentals, skills, and sportsmanship of the game. These basics include throwing, catching, hitting, and teamwork. Participants will learn through drills, scrimmages, and games. Our emphasis is on equal play time, and most of all, fun!

The Youth Baseball Clinic focuses on the development of baseball skills and fundamentals. It is optional for baseball program participants and open to all.

June 1-July 23, 2026, at Sam McQuade Sr. Softball Complex, 110 N. Washington St. (no baseball July 1-2)

Picture Day

• June 17 for Monday/Wednesday teams
• June 18 for Tuesday/Thursday teams

No professional photographer will be on-site this year. Parents are encouraged to bring a camera or phone to take team photos on picture day. During the last 15 minutes that day, teams will line up for a group photo, and then individual player photos can be taken on the field with equipment if desired. Please have your child wear their BPRD baseball T-shirt.

Need to Know

• Age Requirements: Any player born prior to May 1, 2021, and on or after May 1, 2013, is eligible for Coed Mites, Squirts, and Cal Ripken. Age is determined as of May 1, 2026.
• Teammate Request Form: June 2 deadline (teammates not guaranteed)
• Participants are required to purchase and wear baseball-softball gloves, and sunscreen and water bottles are strongly suggested. Cleats are optional. All other gear, such as bats and helmets, are provided.
• During the first week, participants are placed in groups at random and learn drills and play “games” at stations. Teams will be formed after the first week.

Registration and Fees

• $70 per player – if received by May 8
• $80 per player – if received May 9 or later

Youth Baseball Clinic

• FREE for registered baseball participants – select “yes” to enroll when signing up your child for baseball
• $20 for non-registered youth baseball participants

Online registration is closed.  Spots are open for Mites ands Cal Ripken only. You must register in person at the BPRD office, 400 E. Front Ave.
