Playground Overview

Bismarck Parks and Recreation District has a long history of creating inclusive and accessible playgrounds. There are playgrounds with special features, including ramps, musical play panels, sensory input panels, and sand and water features. Many playgrounds have themes.

Magical Moments Playground at Wachter Park was the first inclusive playground in North Dakota, designed for children ages 0-12 with all abilities to play together. Features include infant/toddler and school-age play areas, sand play area, swings, maze play area, zip line, sensory play area for those with visual or auditory disabilities, and shade structures.
