The public outdoor space includes a practice range for shooting up to 70 yards. There are two other National Field Archery Association (NFAA) Field 14 target practice areas with targets shooting from 10 to 80 yards.
The indoor facility is operated by Nishu Bowmen Archery Club. The public shooting range on the main level has target butts positioned at 10-, 20-, and 30-yard increments. The 20-yard target range on the upper level is available only for Nishu Bowmen members.
The 2017 facility expansion project by Bismarck Parks and Recreation District was supported by Nishu Bowmen, area businesses and supporters, and a grant from the North Dakota Game and Fish Department.
