Introductory, 5-6 Year Olds
This is an introduction to golf for youth ages 5-6. This class teaches the basics and fun of playing golf for even the youngest members of your household. Lessons have relocated from Tom O’Leary Golf Clubhouse to Tom O’Leary Practice Site (north of Tom O’Leary Tennis Courts, near Municipal Country Club). All clubs and equipment are provided.

Red Level, 7-17 Year Olds
This instruction is for youth ages 7-17 and is the first level available to students who have not taken a lesson with Dakota Junior Golf Association (DJGA). Basic short game, range practice, learning about play on the course, and course terminology are the focus in this level. Introductory lessons do not qualify as a Red Level class. All clubs and equipment are provided.

White Level, 7-17 Year Olds
This instruction for youth ages 7-17 and is the second level of lessons offered to those students that have taken the Red Level lessons. This class focuses on further practice, short game skill development, swing coaching individualized to child, review of play on course, terminology and rules, and simulated course play to prepare students for play on the golf course. It is recommended that students in White Level repeat at least one time before graduating to Blue Level. All clubs and equipment are provided.

August Youth Golf
This instruction is for boys and girls ages 5-17 and is for all skill levels. Lessons and activities are tailored to each individual’s skills and knowledge of the game. All clubs and equipment are provided.

Blue Level
Blue Level prepares White Level graduate students with the skills and knowledge needed to tee it up on the golf course. Participants learn a pre-shot routine, advanced short game techniques, scoring strategies, golf course management, on the golf course training, rules of golf and course etiquette.

- $125/session, four 2-hour lessons.
- Must graduate from White Level to enter Blue Level.

- No online registration. Register through Riverwood Golf Course at 222-6462.
Dates
- Times are flexible with each group of up to four students.
- Sessions are available in June, July and August; final schedule to be determined.
Gold Level
This is competitive golf for middle school through graduating high school seniors and focuses on competitive games and group instruction.
Fees and Location
- $100/session, two 4-hour lessons
- Must graduate from White Level to enter Gold Level.
- Lessons held at Tom O’Leary, Riverwood or Pebble Creek
- No online registration. Register through Riverwood Golf Course at 222-6462.
Dates
- Times are flexible with each group of up to four students.
- Sessions are available in June, July and August; final schedule to be determined.
Free Junior Golf, June-August
Juniors age 17 and under golf for free on selected courses from 7:30-11am. Please call the golf courses to make tee time reservations. Juniors play from the forward tee markers and may be paired up with other juniors if they have less than four players.

Golfing with Youth
Juniors ages 17 and under play FREE* with a paying adult. Play as many holes as you wish until 30 minutes before sunset at Pebble Creek Golf Course, Riverwood Golf Course or Tom O’Leary Golf Course. Call the course to schedule a tee time.

Fee: $30 with cart
*Additional $10 cart fee applies with juniors ages 11-17 who ride.
Rainout/Inclement Weather
If there are extremely high winds or heavy rainfall with thunder and lightning, lessons will be held inside the Fore Seasons Center. We will also have staff waiting at the white shed by the Pebble Creek driving range to notify parents/participants if lessons will be held inside the dome on the days with inclement weather.
