Outdoor Shelters & Indoor Community Center Rentals

With dozens of parks and a variety of indoor spaces, Bismarck Parks and Recreation District (BPRD) has several options for public or private events.

Shelter Reservation Information

  • Our parks are open year-round; however, some facilities operate on a seasonal basis. Park restrooms are scheduled to open in mid-May and close in mid-October, depending on weather.
  • Information about holding private and public events in parks and purchasing alcoholic beverage permits, along with other space and rental details, is available via the sidebar links.
  • As of late 2023, BPRD uses ActiveNet software for shelter reservations (also used for activity registrations and memberships/passes). See tips for using the software.
  • Shelters (outdoor picnic and indoor centers) may be reserved for 2024 and 2025. Reservations for 2026 will open in January 2025 (exact date TBA).
  • Reserve shelters online by selecting the blue button below. If you wish to reserve an indoor shelter within the next 7 days or an outdoor shelter within the next 3 days or prefer not to book online, call BPRD at 701-222-6455 or visit the Administrative Office at 400 E. Front Ave. (7:30am-5pm Monday through Friday). Reservation requests by email are not accepted.
  • Payment is due at the time of reservation. See pricing and details below. See refund policy.
  • Waivers must be signed before your reservation is approved. If you reserved a space over the phone, learn how to sign your waiver online.
