The Board heard from Rachael Howard, Local Foods Coordinator, on her roles and responsibilities relating to BisMarket, the Bismarck Community Orchard and the Bismarck Public Schools Farm-to-School program.
A group of citizens asked the Board to reconsider the educational component panels for Custer Park. The Board received comments and took no action at this time.
The Board rejected bids for the expansion of the parking lot at Pioneer Park and directed staff to re-bid the project this winter. The Board accepted bids for the General Sibley Park Trail Phase II project.
Kathy Feist, Bismarck Parks and Recreation District Finance Director presented the final 2019 Audit and Financial Statements. The auditors issued an unqualified opinion, often referred to as a “clean” audit, with no findings. The Board approved the audited financial statements for the year ending December 31, 2019.
Executive Director Randy Bina gave a COVID-19 report to the Board, sharing information regarding BPRD facilities, programs and protocols.
