2025 Trail Closures

Longer-Term Closures

• River Road Trail – A section of River Road Trail in Bismarck will be closed beginning March 3, 2025, for the duration of the BNSF railroad bridge project. See updates from BNSF Railway for details.
• Burleigh Avenue Trail – The west end of the Burleigh Avenue Trail is closed for the last 150 yards near Tavis Road for a City of Bismarck construction project.
• Channel Drive Trail – This trail is closed from Rosser Avenue to Divide Avenue for a City of Bismarck construction project. See Channel Drive trail map.

Temporary Closures

From Sept. 10-11, 2025, a portion of trail in front of Riverwood Golf Course will be temporarily closed for City of Bismarck utility work. Weather permitting, the trail should reopen by the weekend.
