2025 Trail Closures

Longer-Term Closures

• River Road Trail – A section of River Road Trail in Bismarck will be closed beginning March 3, 2025, for the duration of the BNSF railroad bridge project. See updates from BNSF Railway for details.
• Burleigh Avenue Trail – The west end of the Burleigh Avenue Trail is closed for the last 150 yards near Tavis Road for a City of Bismarck construction project.
• Channel Drive Trail – This trail is closed from Rosser Avenue to Divide Avenue for a City of Bismarck construction project. See Channel Drive trail map.

Temporary Closures

During the week of Aug. 4, 2025, a portion of Sunrise Trail will be temporarily closed for  improvements. The closure will be from Hitchcock Drive to “Y” in the trail (south of E. Calgary Ave.). Weather permitting, the trail should reopen by the weekend.
