Minnesota Twins Grant Received

The Bismarck Municipal Ballpark capital campaign fund total is $10,000 higher, thanks to a Minnesota Twins Fields for Kids grant. Bismarck Parks and Recreation District received the news this week that Minnesota Twins grant funds have been awarded to help support $1.5 million in upgrades at the ballpark.

The Twins Community Fund’s Fields for Kids program provides financial support to improve baseball and/or softball facilities for youth in the Upper Midwest and Southwest Florida. The program makes matching grants to non-profit organizations and local government units that operate baseball and/or softball programs.

Renovations at the Bismarck Municipal Ballpark include a new grandstand with stadium seats, including a new press box, concessions and restrooms. Other improvements include new dugouts, improved site lines, a new entry and a historical display on baseball in Bismarck. The upgrades are scheduled to start in August.

Currently, $1,136,879 has been raised to date. Opportunities still exist for people to “Buy A Seat” at the ballpark, click here for the details.
