Thank You, Bismarck! A Message from Retiring Executive Director Randy Bina

It has been my sincere privilege to spend four decades in the public parks and recreation field, 34 of those years with Bismarck Parks and Recreation District (BPRD) and the last 10 as executive director.

Being part of a parks and recreation system that provides opportunities for all people has been very rewarding to me. And it would not have been possible without the many partners and user groups that have stepped up to help develop and enhance our parks, trails, facilities and programs throughout the years. Thank you for your commitment to our community.

Parks and recreation is both a passion and profession for me. I express my deepest gratitude to the many people who have supported me throughout my career, including current and former park board commissioners and staff members, parks and recreation professionals across the state and around the country, and my family.

I know the BPRD team will continue to do an outstanding job in its work to provide affordable, accessible and sustainable public parks and recreation services in Bismarck. And I look forward to continuing to be an active user of BPRD places and spaces. See you at a park or on a trail!
